130 theatres throughout Italy and Europe are joining Marco Paolini to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Vajont tragedy.

Michele Gazich will be accompanying his great friend Gualtiero Bertelli, but with them will also be Gian Antonio Stella, Carlo Presotto and musicians Simone Nogarin, Cecilia Bertelli, Giuseppina Casarin and the Tessitori di Voce chorus of readers.

The starting text will be Vajont 9 ottobre '63 - Orazione civile by Marco Paolini, in the re-elaboration performed together with Marco Martinelli especially for the choral event VajontS, within which will be inserted the musical texture of songs by Gualtiero Bertelli, a historical Mirese singer-songwriter and fresh winner of the Tenco Prize in 2022, and a narration by Gian Antonio Stella that connects Mira, the memory of the 1966 acqua granda, and the Vajont tragedy.
Three different areas, the life of the river, the fragility of the lagoon, and the mountains, to talk about the fragility of the relationship between human activities and the environment with regard to the water dimension.
Our show will start at the same time as all the other shows produced by the many Italian theatres that have adhered, and shortly before 22:39 (the time of the tragedy) it will stop at the same time as all the productions, to retrace, in an ideal embrace between all the theatres, the interminable seconds of the arrival of the avalanche of water to wipe out the town of Longarone.
